Therapeutic Approach

I utilize Narrative Therapy within my sessions. I enjoy this modality for it views my clients as separate from their symptoms and destructive behaviors.  Viewing issues from this angle allows clients to create separation from these difficulties and allows them to truly see how these behaviors could be protecting them instead of hurting them.  Narrative Therapy allows clients to feel more empowered to make active changes and “rewrite” their life story. Together we can create a future that more accurately represents who you really are and what you can achieve. I believe that together, we can rewrite your narrative and transform your shame within that process.

Education and Experience

I obtained my bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I utilized this degree within my ten-year long career in Human Resources as a Learning and Development Manager.  Throughout that decade, I helped to increase workplace happiness, training and success. It was within this field that I learned how much I enjoyed utilizing Adult Learning Theory. This sparked my curiosity within the Marriage and Family Therapy field. I wanted to assist people on their more personal journeys towards fulfilment. It was because of this interest that I returned to school and graduated with my master’s degree Suma Cum Laude from Touro Worldwide University December 2023. During my master’s program, I completed my practicum at a community counseling organization where I was able to work with and explore my interests with a wide range of communities.

Personal Interests

I am a born and raised Las Vegas native, growing up I participated heavily in theater and the arts. I still enjoy these hobbies with my partner and two children. I enjoy traveling to Mexico City, Halloween, musicals, old movies and reading as much fantasy fiction as I can find time for within my busy life.
